You are probably reading this because we have recommended you create Virtual Versions for your OfficeConnect reports. Is that correct? What are Virtual Versions?
Virtual Versions are not stand alone versions, rather they point to existing versions in Model Management. We recommend using Virtual Versions in reporting so that the regular maintenance of OfficeConnect reports are kept to a minimum.
Imagine you have 10 different OfficeConnect reports all with numerous references to a September Forecast. What happens when you reforecast? You need to update all of the report references to reflect the current forecast. If you are someone that re-forecasts monthly, this is alot of time wasted in maintenance. Instead, Create a Virtual Forecast, pointing to the current forecast.
